adoption Fees

Nos petits partent en paire ou en trio obligatoirement. Tout problème de santé sera signalé avant l'adoption. Les frais couvrent l'adoption ainsi qu'un traitement anti-parasitaire (dont une petite quantité vous sera remise à l'adoption), un vermifuge qui sera administré avant le départ et une petite quantité de nourriture pour transitionner. Gerbilimo s'engage également à répondre aux questions et offrir des conseils après l'adoption.

Gerbils

Standard gerbils : 35$ for a duo, 55$ for a trio.
REX gerbils (curly fur) : 30$ each. No discount will be offered for a pair. If adopted with a standard gerbil, then this one will have a 20$ fee.

A mandatory, non-refundable deposit of 10$/gerbil is required for the reservation. In case of cancellation, the money will go to the welfare of the gerbils. If you take them, you will only have to pay the difference at the time of adoption.

Degus

Adoption fees vary depending on color and markings. No group discounts will be applied.
The prices follow the North American breeding trend and the European base.
Please note that all of the colors listed below may not yet be available at the kennel.

A deposit, covering 3/4 (75%) of the total adoption costs, mandatory and non-refundable is required for the reservation. In case of cancellation, the money will go to the welfare of the degus. If you take them, you will only have to pay the difference at the time of adoption.

Guarantees & Contract

The animals offered here are raised with the utmost care and with all the love I can give them. If anything happens after the adoption, I cannot reimburse you. On the other hand, I can exchange a gerbil or a disgust for another if possible. Of course, I do not take back a deceased animal.

All pets leave after signing an adoption contract. Before adoption, I send you a copy of the contract by email to make you aware of the clauses. When you come to collect animals from the farm, I will have you sign two copies: one for you and the other for me. As a result, we will be able to reach us more easily if need be. Signing the contract indicates that you accept all of its terms, and that you agree to comply with them.

You can find the terms in the box below. The breeding rule can be changed for breeders from the American Gerbil Society.

Contract terms

The new owner of the animal is committed to the Gerbilimo breeding:

To provide the animal with a healthy and happy life, the two parties therefore proceed with this adoption for the purpose of animal welfare.
To report immediately any change of address
To give news of the animal, with photography, on request
[GERBIL] The adopter hereby declares to provide the animal with living space equivalent to at least 10 gallons per gerbil and adapted to its needs. The kennel reserves the right to check at any time if the adopter's infrastructure meets the criteria as described in this contract.
[DEGU] The adopter declares hereby providing the animal with living space equivalent to at least 50cm long x 60cm wide x 100cm high for two degu and adapted to its needs. The kennel reserves the right to check at any time if the adopter's infrastructure meets the criteria as described in this contract.
The complete maintenance of the animal will be at the expense of the adopter. This includes: food, toys, litter, costs of a veterinarian in the event of illness or injury and any other related costs.
In the event of death or illness of the animal, the adopter undertakes to notify the kennel as soon as possible.
The kennel does not allow the adopter to reproduce the adopted animals, unless otherwise advised by the kennel, at the request of the adopter.
Never give or sell the adopted animal without first notifying Gerbilimo kennel. If the adopter had only decided, for whatever reason, to depart from the adopted animal, the farm will inform him of his decision, depending on the space available, to take the animal back without reimbursement, assist the adopter to place the animal in question in a new home or to leave the decision to the discretion of the adopter.
The contract ends
- By the death of the animal
- By the death of the adopter
- By the renouncement of the adopter towards the kennel by simple writing. In this case, the adopter undertakes to provide the same care, hitherto required by the kennel, until the animal returns to the kennel or to its new home, without reimbursement.
In the event of breach of contract of any clause mentioned above, the adopter recognizes the right of the Gerbilimo kennel to automatically take back the animal without any formality, nor compensation, without prejudice and without refund.
